About Us

Impact Immigration Advice is a family run business. We moved to New Zealand as migrants ourselves about 25 years ago, so we understand what it takes to settle here, and we enjoy helping others make the same move.

 

The practice was founded and is led by Sanjeev Thakur, a Licensed Immigration Adviser (IAA licence 201500944) with 10 years of experience as an adviser and a background in international corporate roles. You can confirm his licence on the Immigration Advisers Authority public register.

 

Over the years we have helped clients with a wide range of visa and residence matters, including some complex cases. Every case is different and decisions are made by Immigration New Zealand, so no adviser can promise a particular result. What we do promise is honest advice about your options and careful preparation of your application.

 

Some people prefer to apply on their own, and that can work well. Applications are often delayed or declined because information is incomplete or supporting documents are missing or incorrect. We reduce that risk by checking your situation against current Immigration New Zealand instructions and making sure your application and evidence are complete before it is lodged.

 

We also have contacts with education providers and employers, and where it fits your plans we can share information about study and work options in New Zealand.
